The Pet Hospital
What surprises most people who tour our hospital is the "behind the scenes" areas. People only experience their own doctor's office, where they have seen the waiting room and examination rooms.
Veterinary hospitals have all of this and more. In a human doctor's office, when you require an X-ray, blood test, a prescription, or surgery, they would send you somewhere else to have those procedures performed. A veterinary hospital has the entire human hospital ( on a smaller scale) behind the exam rooms Treatments, X-rays, surgery, lab work, prescriptions are all done under one roof.
Hours
The Pet Hospital is open:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Saturday, 9:00 AM to Noon
Closed Sundays & Holidays except for emergencies.
Appointments
If you would like to make an appointment, please contact our office by phone 231-796-5493 during normal business hours. Our hospital facilitates emergency calls after hours at that same number. New patients are welcome!
Financial
As we all are aware, medical care is not inexpensive. Forms of payment accepted are check, cash, MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or Care Credit. Payment is expected when services are rendered or when your pet is discharged.
Cancellation
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient.

The Pet Motel
Our Boarding facility is separate, but adjacent to our Hospital. It is completely indoors and climate-controlled. Large 4 X 4 ft. compartments are connected to individual 4 X 8 ft. runs under sky lights. We will take your pet outside to potty at least twice daily if it does not go inside. Also we offer a dog walking service for an additional fee.
We check all animals for flea infestation on admission, and if infested, they will be treated at owner expense. We require current annual DHLPP vaccination, and Bordatella vaccination every 6 months. These measures are to protect your pet from contagious disease while boarding with us.
Reservations are highly recommended, especially over weekends, holidays, school or college breaks.

The Pet Motel is open:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4 PM
Sunday, Noon to 4:00 PM
Closed all Holidays. Your pet is cared for the same as any other day, but we are not open for drop-off or pick-up.
Pet Grooming
We offer pet grooming contained in our Pet Motel. This is a convenient service that you can request prior to your boarding pet going home, or at any time your pet needs sprucing up.
Tiffany Cowart, our professionally trained groomer is experienced in all breeds of dogs and cats. She is a graduate of Paragon Grooming Academy in Grand Rapids.
We are sure you will find her calming and gentle personality and her artistic grooming skills an invaluable asset to compliment our staff. Please call 796-4500 to schedule a grooming appointment as times fill up rapidly.
